Journey does not collect your data.
Journey the app collects nothing. Everything you record — weight, sleep, mindset, reflections, photos — stays on your device. This policy is short because our data practices are short.

Nothing. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising identifiers and no tracking. Your check-in data is stored only in your device's local storage and never transmitted to us. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored. Backups you export are files you control.
Two things, both minimal. First, our hosting provider (Netlify) counts anonymous page visits and keeps standard server logs — how many visits, never who you are. Second, if you voluntarily join our email list — via this website or the optional sign-up when you first open the app — we store the name and email address you give us. Leaving it blank changes nothing; the app never requires an account.
Joining is optional. We use your address to send launch updates, beta invitations and new training guides. We never sell or share it for marketing. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you promptly. To have your address deleted entirely, email us and we will confirm within 30 days.
This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies, which is why you did not see a cookie banner. The app uses your browser's local storage purely to hold your own check-in data on your own device — that is its function, not tracking.
Nobody, with one operational exception: Netlify hosts this website and processes form submissions and server logs on our behalf (their infrastructure may be located outside Australia, including the United States). We share nothing with advertisers or data brokers — we have nothing to share.
App data: on your device until you delete it — we never have it. Email addresses: kept while the list operates or until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Hosting logs: retained briefly by Netlify per their standard practice.
Wherever you are, we honour the substance of privacy law rights: ask what we hold about you (for almost everyone: one email address or nothing), correct it, or have it deleted — email contact@journeywithshannon.com. Australian users can complain to the OAIC; EU and UK users to their local authority.
Journey and this website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
If you turn on the app's daily reminder, the notification is scheduled locally on your device and never involves a server.
If this policy changes, the new version appears at this address with a new effective date. Effective: 28 July 2026.
